My Yukata

Hello everyone! Hope you've all been well!

It's almost summer! The summer night market opened last month and I am super excited to go!

Since 2 years ago, I've been wanting to go to the night market in a yukata but it never happened. This year is different! I decided to order a yukata from Rakuten Global here as my birthday present from my parents. It took me a long time to decide since there were so many beautiful patterns! This set is a 10 piece set and it only costs ¥3,980 ($40 CAD)!

looked kinda like a lunch bag but really big lol.
Shipping took around 3 weeks. They were going to use EMS (~$28CAD) but I e-amiled them asking for other shipping methods. I chose Registered SAL, which was half the price. I'm super patient and I didn't really need to have it ASAP.

The contents!
10 piece set:
1- Yukata "underwear"
2- Tulle & Lace Ornamental Piece: I actually didn't really know how to use this. I just used it like a second obi. It's a long piece of tulle with raschel lace sides.
3- Folding fan
4- Yukata: My mom actually picked this print for me! It's really gorgeous and just like the picture. The material is thin (but not too thin!) so it's perfect for the summer weather!
5- Obi: THICK! Very thick and silky smooth. I didn't get to choose the colour. The option I picked when purchasing was "glamorous" and I got a orange/yellow obi. I was hoping to get a red one but the orange/yellow matches the yukata quite well!
6- Clogs: Good lord- these hurt. My pinky toes fall off the edge because they aren't wide enough. The fabric part is a little stiff. So uncomfortable =A=
7/8- Waist tie: I forget why I need two. One seems to do the job!
9/10- Ornamental Braid & Corsage: When the page said "mini corsage", I didn't think it'd be that mini. It's just a small white rose clip! The braid itself is gorgeous! It has metal tips to stop from fraying. One strand is red and the other is a sparkling silver.
11- BONUS!: I got a small gift because I said I'd write them a review! It's a cute white bear wearing an orange yukata!

It came with instructions on how to wear the yukata and how to tie the obi. I've watched a few YouTube tutorials so I was good to go! Figuring out how to tie the obi was fun since the instructions they provided were in japanese and the pictures made little procedural sense.

Hopefully I can wear it out soon with my hair piece from AquaDoll!

Thanks for reading!

Love,
JAN

P.S. If you order a set, please show me your pictures! I'd love to see them!!
