Yumetenbo/DreamV Rakuten Order

I hope you guys are having a good week!

Anyways,  Rakuten had a free shipping promotion and I decided to order some items from DreamV or otherwise known as Yumetenbo (夢展望). There was a bolero that I've been eyeing for months so this was the perfect opportunity!

Here's what I ordered:

I ordered the dark brown ones

Worn photo~

Pink one for me!

I ordered the one on the far right.
Everything was pretty much true to size and colour. The sweater was quite thin but nice and soft o3o. I've worn it quite a few times and it kind of stretched...not too happy about that. The boots are super tall! Both the platform and the heel! I'm only 5'2" so this gives me the height I've always wanted. I find them pretty comfortable. I've worn them out on a few occasions and still loving them to bits! I never got around to wearing the bolero. It just doesn't match anything in my wardrobe right now.

The only thing that didn't please me is something that was my fault. I ordered with a friend to take advantage of the free shipping since it's free shipping if you order $100 or more. However, the fine print said up to $30 worth of shipping. In the end, our shipping total was $60 so we had to pay half. I was a bit disappointed but it's my blunder. Always read the fine print!!

Anyhoo- Thanks for reading and I'll hopefully post again soon!!

My First Lolita Meet!

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've made a post. Things just got hectic for me in the last few months ^^"

Last month, I was finally able to go to my first ever lolita meet up!

I've been in love with lolita fashion since the beginning of grade 9, but I just didn't have the money to fund such an expensive hobby. I mean, $30 for a pair of socks?? I didn't start building up my wardrobe until 3 years later. In between, I never owned more than 2 dresses at a time. My first 2 pieces were a replica of Fantastic Dolly and a Bodyline JSK. The only times I got to wear them was on Halloween.

I got my first brand piece as a birthday present. My second piece was from a BtSSB Cyber Monday sale. Slowly, I started building it up. As of now, it's still pretty tiny. I don't own any lolita accessories, just lolitable ones. I make do :D

I've never went to a lolita meet up. Reason was partially because I didn't even know a lolita community existed here until earlier this year, and the fact that I had a horrible experience with one of the lolitas before I joined. I wore my replica JSK at a local anime/cultural event and one of the lolitas said that the strap of the JSK "totally gave it away". I really didn't know how to take it, but I ended up taking it badly. And when I finally joined the Facebook group, all the meets landed on a bad day for me.

Without further adooo-
What I wore:
Pas de Deux in the Blue Moon Odette JSK - BtSSB
Bag - Tralala
Necklace (can't really see) and Rose hair clip - F21
Everything else is off brand

I usually cake on the makeup, but I was in a rush so I felt so under-madeup that day haha-

We went for a late afternoon tea party. Not the best place I've been to but it was pretty good! There was an odd number of us and I arrived a bit late so I had a whole set to myself.

Little Prince Afternoon Tea at Rose House.
Everything was really good! The tea was a bit bitter for my tastes. They gave you a small packet of sugar but I never felt like it was enough. The pastries were warm and I really love the rose jam and devonshire cream that came with the scone. My favourite has to be the jelly at the top. I don't remember what kind it was but the flavouring was light and just the perfect finish.

I was elated that I was able to attend this meet. Totally contrary to how I thought it would be like. Everyone was really nice and welcoming; I never felt left alone or alienated in anyway. Thanks to Kaede for hosting this!

Until next time~

My Yukata

Hello everyone! Hope you've all been well!

It's almost summer! The summer night market opened last month and I am super excited to go!

Since 2 years ago, I've been wanting to go to the night market in a yukata but it never happened. This year is different! I decided to order a yukata from Rakuten Global here as my birthday present from my parents. It took me a long time to decide since there were so many beautiful patterns! This set is a 10 piece set and it only costs ¥3,980 ($40 CAD)!

looked kinda like a lunch bag but really big lol.
Shipping took around 3 weeks. They were going to use EMS (~$28CAD) but I e-amiled them asking for other shipping methods. I chose Registered SAL, which was half the price. I'm super patient and I didn't really need to have it ASAP.

The contents!
10 piece set:
1- Yukata "underwear"
2- Tulle & Lace Ornamental Piece: I actually didn't really know how to use this. I just used it like a second obi. It's a long piece of tulle with raschel lace sides.
3- Folding fan
4- Yukata: My mom actually picked this print for me! It's really gorgeous and just like the picture. The material is thin (but not too thin!) so it's perfect for the summer weather!
5- Obi: THICK! Very thick and silky smooth. I didn't get to choose the colour. The option I picked when purchasing was "glamorous" and I got a orange/yellow obi. I was hoping to get a red one but the orange/yellow matches the yukata quite well!
6- Clogs: Good lord- these hurt. My pinky toes fall off the edge because they aren't wide enough. The fabric part is a little stiff. So uncomfortable =A=
7/8- Waist tie: I forget why I need two. One seems to do the job!
9/10- Ornamental Braid & Corsage: When the page said "mini corsage", I didn't think it'd be that mini. It's just a small white rose clip! The braid itself is gorgeous! It has metal tips to stop from fraying. One strand is red and the other is a sparkling silver.
11- BONUS!: I got a small gift because I said I'd write them a review! It's a cute white bear wearing an orange yukata!

It came with instructions on how to wear the yukata and how to tie the obi. I've watched a few YouTube tutorials so I was good to go! Figuring out how to tie the obi was fun since the instructions they provided were in japanese and the pictures made little procedural sense.

Hopefully I can wear it out soon with my hair piece from AquaDoll!

Thanks for reading!

Love,
JAN

P.S. If you order a set, please show me your pictures! I'd love to see them!!

AquaDoll Half Wig Review

Greetings from Cloud27!

I recently ordered a half wig from Aquadoll/Luxystone here.

This was my first time ordering from Rakuten Global, so I'll share with you my experience!

Process of Order:
Rakuten shopping is pretty easy. You pick the options they offer and just add the item to your cart. They take PayPal and a variety of credit cards and bank transfers too (I believe). I chose the credit card option. After placing your order, Rakuten will automatically send an email to you to confirm your purchase. You won't be charged until the shop contacts you will final amount with shipping.

With AquaDoll, once you place the order, you can't cancel or change anything. They ship using EMS so it would be best if you left them a note if you wanted to use a different shipping method when you are paying since you can't change anything after your order is placed. Shipping for this was about $12 CAD. I'm a patient person, so I would have preferred for it to be shipped using SAL which may take up to 20 days, but for half the price.

They shipped a day after I placed my order. It came in about 4 days.

Totally unnecessarily large shipping packaging.

Colour: DBK. True to colour.
Quality: Not bad. I've bought most of my wigs from Taobao and 2 from eBay. It's comparable to the nicer wigs on Taobao. The top is pretty thick.
True to Picture: Doesn't really look like the picture and not as long as I expected it to be. In the picture, it looks fluffier and more wavy from top to bottom.

Overall, I am happy with it. Mainly because what I wanted was different from the photo, but they should really change their photo or their product. False advertisement!!

Worn pictures to come!

Toodles,
JAN

P.S. I also ordered a yukata! Please look forward to my next review!

Loli Loli Paradise and Taobao Items Reivew!

This is a post I've posted on my Taobao blog on tumblr but here it is again.
This order took about 2 months from start to finish. Reason being I placed my order around Chinese New Year and the shop took roughly 10 days off. Loli Loli Paradise didn't take time off but it made no difference since the post office was off too.
So let’s talk about LLP first.
I’ve used her as a shopping service once before and it was an overall good experience. But because she is Facebook based, it gets a little messy so I wouldn’t recommend you buy too much with her. A couple of items went out of stock and she did refund me the money...only when I reminded her though.
Communication:
She went missing for like a week (not around CNY). I messaged a few times with no reply. But that only happened once. She is polite…but she got annoyed one time. heh.
Packaging:
As you can see, she left them wrapped individually which is good. It came in a padded envelope so it’s cheaper to mail than with a box. Nothing I bought was fragile so I wouldn’t have needed a box anyways.

Ease of Use:
Once again, if you’re ordering more than 7 things, it could get messy.
On to the items!
1. Backpack. Awesome. What else can I say? It’s exactly like the photo and is the colour that I had expected. It’s super light by itself.

2. Highlight Extensions. I purchased 4 silver ones and the shop gave me an extra pink and ombre auburn one! It was a nice surprise. They’re a good length and it’s not halloween-wig-shiny.

3. Misc Accessories. I ordered 2 pairs of earrings and a bracelet. They gave me 2 extra necklaces and a (ugly) hair clip. Love them all (except for the hair clip lol). One of the free necklaces was broken but not something a little glue can’t fix! Earrings came with plastic stoppers (is that what they’re called?) which comes off pretty easily :[

4. Karuta Cosplay. Perf. Just the way I envisioned it. The quality is pretty good for what I payed for! The neck ribbon was a little weird…but it also came with the necktie. On the page it said it would include otk socks, which I didn’t get but that’s not a big problem.
Karuta Cosplay
5. Pink Tutuanna Socks I didn’t order. I don’t know which shop this one is from. But, thanks man. I like cute socks.

6. Liz Lisa Top Replica. This one was funny. It came with the buttons not sewn on so I had to do it myself. Yeah. But otherwise, I love it! It’s a nice thin cotton material and the lace is so pretty *3*

7. Liz Lisa Skort Replica. Came with the belt! It’s a little wrinkly because of the packaging and just slightly bigger than I would like it.
Liz Lisa Top & Skort
In conclusion, I felt like I spent more than I should have on these items. Aside from that, this has been a fairly satisfying shopping experience! You can see the links to the items here!
